NSLM Receives Special Award from the Middleburg Business and Professional Association

MIDDLEBURG, VA - At the December Middleburg Business and Professional Association annual awards presentation, the National Sporting Library and Museum received special recognition for the "outstanding community service and the extraordinary contribution it is making to our town." In the presentation, Genie Ford, a member of the association's board, stated: "This isn't one of our traditional annual awards but we felt it was important to recognize and honor this organization, not just for what they have achieved this year...but for the difference they are going to make for many years." Mickey Gustafson, Director of Communications and Education at the NSLM, accepted the award and thanked members of the community as a whole for the extent to which they "helped us achieve the goal of making a difference in Middleburg."
