Volunteers Needed:

To obtain the necessary volunteer forms, please visit: www.vaes.vt.edu/middleburg

The MARE Center is looking for volunteers to help work with the young horses in our herd. These horses are young and spry so those working with them need to be confident with unhandled Thoroughbred horses. Duties would include grooming, haltering, walking and generally teaching them manners. The hours would be Monday through Friday, on days when the center's vet tech is here. For this volunteer project, we are looking for people who could come to the center on a regular basis. Times and dates for volunteering will be determined by Tim Parmly, Vet Tech for the MARE Center. Volunteers should contact Tim directly to arrange a time to meet with him to discuss duties involved in working with these young horses. All volunteers must complete the required paperwork. Those interested may contact Tim
