The Burgundian Horse was a horse that lived in the Middle Ages. The Auxois is a rare breed of French heavy horse descended from the "Old Burgundian horse." Another horse that is similar, still in existance today, is the Ardennes breed. What was the "Old Burgundian Horse" does not exist today as it once did in the Middle Ages.
